REPORT ON THE MOHATO FUNCTION
On the 6th December 2024, Mohato school of Autism in Naledi, Soweto hosted what they called Appreciation Day for their Learners. Every learner received a gift and a certificate of appreciation. Their little faces glowed with excitement as they came up to the podium to receive these. The highlight of the event was the presentation of blazers to next year’s Prefects.
The event aimed to empower and uplift the children by offering them a sense of pride and belonging, while also enhancing their self esteem and showing everyone that they are being recognized for their leadership skills.
The function was attended by families, caregivers and members of the local community, as well as professionals from other fields. As these prefects were presented with the blazers, the joy, pride and excitement on their faces was evident, making the event truly memorable and a touching experience for all
Vuyolethu’s Haven is proud to have contributed to this meaningful cause and to have played a role in helping these children feel confident and valued. Our sponsorship of the blazers is just one step in our ongoing commitment to support the Autistic community and to promote greater acceptance, inclusivity and understanding of Autism
